What I’ll take away: Perhaps it’s a generational thing, but I just don’t get the appeal of forcing a found-footage aesthetic onto a story that doesn’t fit it. It just results in distracting narrative gymnastics trying to justify the incorporation of cameras into every scene, often with the side effect of the shot not capturing the key story and emotional beats of a scene.
